This years eighth annual Watermedia exhibition became a national juried effort, attracting 725 submissions from 298 artists hailing from forty-two states and six foreign countries. Douglas Walton, Director, Watercolor Encounters, Ruston Louisiana, who acted as juror, selected 107 of the submissions for the exhibit.
Mr. Walton gave award presentations and a slide show and talk at the Gallery of Contemporary Art, University of Colorado, Colorado Springs on Friday, January 31st 1997.
